Are you a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager seeking an exciting new challenge? We are a leading construction company with a proud history of delivering complex and high-quality projects across the UK. We are currently seeking a talented and driven Project Manager to join a newly developed team in Manchester to lead the delivery of a prestigious new University/NHS combined project.

The Project:

This landmark project will see the creation of a state-of-the-art facility that will transform healthcare education and delivery in the region. The project will involve the construction of a new teaching hospital, research laboratories, and student accommodation.

The Role:

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of this complex project from inception to completion. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage the project budget and programme, and ensure that all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the project programme and budget.
  • Lead the project team and manage all stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Manage the procurement process and appoint subcontractors.
  • Monitor progress against the programme and budget and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Resolve any issues that may arise during the project.
  • Ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Experience of working on complex projects.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working on healthcare projects.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Experience of using project management software.
