Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage retail shop fit-out projects from concept through to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

As the Project Manager, you will coordinate with designers, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless execution of the fit-out process. You will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, across different locations, while maintaining a focus on efficiency, safety, and attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Scheduling:

    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Ensure all projects adhere to the agreed-upon schedules and deadlines.
    • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues or delays.
  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed.
    • Liaise with architects, designers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
    • Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on progress and address any concerns.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control:

    • Manage the project budget, ensuring that costs are monitored and controlled throughout the lifecycle of the project.
    • Obtain and evaluate quotes from contractors and suppliers.
    • Prepare cost reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Quality Control:

    • Ensure that all work meets company standards, client expectations, and complies with relevant building codes and regulations.
    • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving:

    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Resolve on-site issues efficiently and ensure minimal disruption to the project timeline.
    • Ensure all health and safety requirements are met and that any risks are properly managed.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, reports, and correspondence.
    • Prepare detailed progress reports for senior management and clients.
    • Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.

Key Requirements:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing shop fit-out, retail, or commercial construction projects.
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Skills:

    • Strong project management skills with experience using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
    • Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Other:

    • Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
