The Quality and Assurance Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the quality assurance and control processes for a large-scale warehouse construction project. This role ensures that all construction activities meet the company's high standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing quality on large-scale projects, a keen eye for detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.

The project duration is 1 year minimum plus additional work after this project has finished.

  • Quality Assurance Management:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain the project quality assurance plan for a large-scale warehouse construction.
    • Ensure all construction activities comply with quality standards and project specifications.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify non-conformance and implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on quality performance, including inspection records, test results, and corrective actions.
    • Document all quality assurance activities and maintain comprehensive project quality files.
  • Team Collaboration and Supervision:

    • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to integrate quality assurance processes into daily operations.
    • Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality standards and best practices.
    • Lead and manage the site quality control team, ensuring efficient and effective performance.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:

    • Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies and third-party inspectors as required.
    • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance quality performance.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving on site.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • SMSTS / Construction management qualification
  • CSCS
  • Ideally the candidate will have worked as a Q&A manager previously
  • Proven experience working on large-scale construction projects, preferably warehouse developments valued at £50,000,000+
  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements in construction.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

The day rate for this role is negotiable depending on experience of the candidate. Our client are ideally looking for someone to start asap.
